What does dehydrated food mean?
All the food we prepare contain water/moisture, dehydration is the process of removing the moisture from the food and stabilizing it so that it can be consumed at a later date. At Heat, we dehydrate the food at room temperature in ambient conditions. Dehydration is also the appropriate method of food preservation.
How is the dehydration process done?
At Heat, we follow a stringent procedure by drying the food on low heat thereby preserving the nutritional values. The technology we use does not have adverse effects on the food. Experience has proven that the taste of the food after dehydration is same. Dehydration (drying) is one of the oldest methods of preserving food.
What happens when the food gets dehydrated?
Once the moisture is removed the food starts to dry and makes them lighter and smaller. Their weight reduces considerably and can be easily packed into sachets that can be used at a later stage. It becomes easy to carry without adding to weight restrictions of airlines.
Are dehydrated Heat food natural?
Whether it's your own home cooked food or the food cooked by us, Heat dehydrated food is fully 100% natural and does not contain any preservatives or any additives.
What is the storage life of Heat dehydrated food?
Heat dehydrated food has a storage life up to six months. However, certain food items need to be consumed within 2-4 months. Please read the pack carefully.
Will there be any difference in the taste of Heat food?
Heat Food retains not only the nutritional value, but also the colour, flavour, taste and micro-nutrients.
Is it possible to get home cooked food dried and packed?
Certainly. It can be easily undertaken by us. All you need is to call us and follow the instructions given by us.
What about certain other food items like Rotis, Parathas, Pooranpolis, Theplas?
The above mentioned food products if dehydrated are difficult to rehydrate. Therefore we pack them in co-polymer pouches, which do not allow (permeate) moisture and Oxygen in Atmospheric Air to get into the pack. Moreover, all the air from the pack is evacuated so that the product has no spoiling environment inside. This helps to retain products mentioned above stay fresh for almost 8 days to 4 months, if kept below 5o Centigrade.
Our children study abroad and miss home cooked food. Will you be able to send heat food to them on a regular basis?

Heat Food is available in multiples of 250 gms.
What if I receive a damaged product?
In the event of you receiving a damaged/tampered heat product, do not accept the delivery and return it to the delivery person. Please call us on +91 022 2614 4482/+91 98215 16006 or write to us at nandini.shah65@gmail.com mentioning your order id. We shall send a replacement at the earliest
Shipping & Delivery Policy
We at Heat are a committed lot and believe in adhering to timelines by delivering your order within the stipulated time period. Our shipment happens during week days except on Sundays and public holidays.
Our shipment is done through reputed courier/parcel forwarding companies or agencies and in case they are not available in your area then we ship through Speed post or registered Postal Service.
The delivery charges are mentioned separately for every product. If you order multiple products then delivery charges as mentioned for each product will be apply separately.
All rates mentioned are inclusive of taxes.
All orders are dispatched as per the delivery date specified by you or within 3 working days. It will be delivered at the address as mentioned by you at the time of placing the order.
If you think, you have received the product in a bad condition or if the packaging is tampered with or damaged before delivery, please refuse to accept the package and return the package to the delivery person.
